The use of "jagged fork"

Hi

Would the use of the phrase "jagged fork" sound OK to native ears?

She picked up the jagged fork and started eating her spaghetti as if she had heard about a stranger's death.

Thanks,

Tom

Rather colorful, but OK. It works better if the reader passes through it quickly and doesn't stop to question the details of what a jagged fork might really be. CJ
