The use of « inversely »

How would you use inversely? Is it correct to use it like this?

Would you change the phrasing?

You could spend a lot of money at the slot machines and you could lose. Inversely you could spend very little and win.

If you like yourself people will like you. Inversely if you don’t like yourself, people have no reason to like you.

thanks

Inversely is generally used in reference to an effect, nature or order. In all the three sentences given above inversely is used for decision making rather than effect. Try replacing inversely with otherwise in these sentences
