The use of "idiocy"

Hi

I would like to know if the noun "idiocy" as common as its adjective, idiot? For example:

It's sheer idiocy to go driving in this weather.

What about imbecility?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi, I would like to know if the noun " idiocy " as common as its adjective, idiot? I would say not. These abstract noun terms are not unusual, but I'd say they are a lot less common.
