The use of hurry

is the use of hurry in this sentence correct? "Liam fell on the ground and he hurry and got up."

Anonymous Liam fell on the ground and he hurr ied and got up. It's OK as shown above, though somewhat regional, but it's more usual to say ... but he got up [quickly / right away] .
