i would like to know which are these sentences correct.

I HAD TO REPAIR MY CAR YESTERDAY . OTHERWISE, I COULD NOT GO TO HER BIRTHDAY PARTY
OR
I MUST HAVE REPAIRED MY CAR YESTERDAY. OTHERWISE, I COULD NOT GO TO HER BIRTHDAY PARTY
