The use of "gutted"

Hi

Please tell me how common the word "gutted" meaning "extremely disappointed" is among native speakers.

Do you find this sentence natural?

Disappointed? I was gutted.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes where I`m from gutted is fairly common. It`s ordinary street language in Britain. And yes the sentence is quite natural.
