The use of feeling

Hi

Could you please tell me if the use of feeling is correct and natural here?

The new boss is so feeling towards his colleagues.

Thanks,

Tom

The sentence is possible, and it is understood. However, to me, it sounds too sweet, sugary, touchy-feely ( and perhaps even insincere). I would change the structure of the sentence to allow for something like: The new boss has sincere feelings for his colleagues; the new boss is truly sympathetic toward his colleagues; the new boss really tries to understand the feelings of his colleagues.
