The use of "displeased"

Hi

This sentence is from the film "Titanic".

Rose is displeased.

Am I to understand that displeased can be used in everyday informal English?

Thanks,

Tom

In my part of the world, "displeased" is not common in everyday conversation but is not impossible. I think I use it myself occasionally, though probably not quite as your sentence does. I might say "I'm very displeased with [whatever]".
