The use of definite article for certain phrasal pattern

Hi. I think when you are using the word "communication," which I believe is an uncountable noun, in the phrasal pattern of "communication of XXX" (the letters "XXX" being a certain noun), the definite article "the" need not be used before it if the context in which the word "communication" is general and non-specific like the example below.

Frequent communication of faith by the members of this church would be considered something positive

I think you could put the definite article "The" before the word "Frequent" and that would make the referencing of the word "communication" to the word "faith" stronger. (I am not sure I wrote clearly to reflect what I wanted to say.)

I think basically the same line of reasoning can be laid out for the use of a noun/word in plural like "observations" in the phrasal pattern of "obervations of XXX" (the letters "XXX" being a certain noun).

Is frequent obvervations of these animals a good thing to do?

Like the previous example with the uncountable noun "communication," I think we can use/place the definite article "the" before the word "frequent." I also think it (that is, using/placing the definite artlcle "the" before the word "frequent") would make the relationship between the word "observations" and the phrase "these animals" tighter. (Again, I am not sure I wrote correctly to reflect what I wanted to say.)

I don't know what you are imagining, either. The relationship between the noun and the noun in the modifying prepositional phrase is certainly not a factor, though. The definite article (inappropriate in both of your examples, since they are general references to any communication and any observations) would only serve to make the communication and observations more specific, which would demand more referential context than you have supplied.

Hi. Thank you. I think I have made a mistake in making the verb correspond with the subject. The verb "Is" in the sentence should be "Are."
