can anybody please check the use of "and"s and "the"s in the sentence below. are commas at the right place?
we measured the distance between the spine of scapula(1) and the coracoid process(2), the acromion(3), the anterior margin of the subscapular muscle(4) and inferior border of the subscapular muscle(5).
distances between (1) and (2,3,4,5)

i shortened the sentence 'cause what i was seekin was only a quick grammatical check. since i am an md there is no problem with the spine of the scapula and the process. i gave numbers in paranthesis for the landmarks in order to indicate what i wanted to mean. the terms shortened by me are not the problems i deal with now. so please help me in grammar instead of acting as a doc.
