The usage of 'Right'

A : I am not your father.

B: Right, but I want you to do that.

I know this dialogue is really awkward but all of a sudden, I would like to know usage of 'right'. I have learned that 'Yes' is always followed by positive sentences, but 'No' is not. Then, the meaning of 'right' here can be 'You are my father' like the usage of 'Yes', or 'right' here just tells us that 'B' just has agreed with A's utterance? Thank you so much and I hope you do not laugh at this question.Emotion: smile
