The usage of 'for'

In a movie "The Edge of Seventeen", a teenage brother tells his sister:

Hey, you're so messed up for bringing up that story.

She has talked about a past incident where she saw him crying so hard.
And he feels embarrassed about her bringing it up, and he's really mad and he's claiming that she's not normal mentally.
