The usage of English

I don’t know whether the two sentences make sense in term of grammar and semantics.
Can you give me a hand with checking them

1. When traveling alone, I can meet new people, have new experiences and immerse myself into exotic culture difference from my own one.

2.Although America was established less than three hundred years, it still has profound foundation of culture presented in national and local museums and galleries, a place in which some trained stewards could explain the connotative and denotative meaning of all artistic works in English through which I not only brush up on my English but also understand the real American culture.
