The university of vs university

I know I can say the University of Warsaw but how about Maria Curie Sklodowska University- it is a proper name? Can I say I graduated from the University of Maria.C. Sklodowska? Where can I say the University or without the?

Ok how about this one: In Polish translation the university precedes a proper name- Maria Curia Sklodowska so according to this rule I should say The University of Maria Curie Sklodowska? but on the univeristy's webpage it is stated Maria Curie Sklodowska university.
