The underlines part seems incorrect. Any suggestions how to fix it?

On September 17, 2016 the Board received a translation from English of an application lodged on August 14, 2016 by Jan XXX concerning examination of his case.

Well, "an English translation" is the opposite of "a translation from English". With no further information, I don't see how we know the original meaning was not the correct one.
