The graphs give information on how the online consumption for four sectors changed in Canada in two different years (2005 and 2010).
Overall,, it is clear that there were the changes in the percentages for all categories over two separate years. While the figures for food and beverage and also video game was increase, the figures for the other tow sectors fell.
In 2005, the online shopping sale which was the highest proportion was electronics and appliance (35%). Over a 5-year period, the number of this sector tended to go down slightly, was 30% in 2010. Likewise, there was a dramatical decrease for the home furnishings sector in the same period. This difference was 10%, falling from 25% in 2005 to 15% in 2010.
By contrast, the trends of the other sectors in the online shopping sales were increase. While the expenditure in food and beverage accounted for 22% in 2005, ranked the third of total, these figure rose to the first consumption of online sales in Canada, exactly 32%. There was a similar grow up for video games, despite slow increase. These proportion rose 5% over the period, reached 23% in 2010.
