The two different types of consumer tax systems

I believe you have all heard of the tax systems in the U.S and Europe-where people add the tax value to the price of the purchased products, and the other system mostly employed in Asian countries and australia and NZ, where all product prices are tax included(excluding those in duty free shops).
What are the two systems called respectively?
