Hi Clive,

To be fair, I tried to think of a way around this one too, and I couldn't. What were they doing in the playground? They could be sitting on the bench, or smoking dope, or plotting the overthrow of the galactic empire. Where were they playing? The playground, not the park or the pool or the tennis court. So I couldn't think of another way to say that either. Do you have ideas?

Hi GG,
Perhaps 'They were having fun at the playground'?

"in the play ground" should be the correct form.

you don't say, "the 2 boys are playing on the park". same form, same grama.
"on" is for something above something else. There are exceptions, but not in this case.
