The trading

Hello.
Is this correct grammar-wise:

When the trading is good, I pull out my money.

I know that "trading" (speculating/investing) is an abstract noun and generally doesn't need the definite article, but it's my particular trading, a specific kind of trading that I conduct at a given time (e.g. my trading strategy). Is "the trading correct"?

While the article would normally be omitted, I don't think it is necessarily wrong to include it. However, for me it does not have the connotations that you describe. Instead I see "the trading" as meaning something more like "trading conditions".
