00The town of Bilgoraj is located in the south-eastern of Poland. Bilgoraj was established in 1578 by Adam Gorajski. Nowadays, the city approximately counts 27,000 inhabitants. The town of Bilgoraj sprawls over 21.5 square-kilometers and surrounded by forests and three rivers. Bilgoraj is divided into 13 different settlements: Bagienna, Bojary, Nadstawna, Ogrody, Piaski, Puszcza, Solska, Rapy, Roztocze, Rożnówka, Sitarska (Kępy), Śródmieście, Batorego I and Batorego II. 00Lublin's Jewish community was forced to move into the Lublin ghetto. Between March 17 to April 11, 1942, the majority of the ghetto's population (26,000) , were deported to the Belzec death camp. The remainders were sent to facilities around Majdanek, and most of them were perished by the end of the war.02br
