The third or Third?

Dear teachers,


I saw a sentence as follows:

  • The topic of my presentation is an analysis of third quarter earnings.

I think "the" should be added in front of third as follows:

  • The topic of my presentation is an analysis of the third quarter earnings.

What do you think of this?
