The teacher says she wants her fee in advance.

Hi

Would you say that both of the following sentences are equally natural? Please tell me which is commoner.

The teacher says she wants her fee in advance.

The teacher says she wants her fee upfront.

Thanks,

Tom

Both are correct. "in advance" is more formal, for lack of a better word, while "upfront" is more colloquial.
