''The task is not for the faint of heart''

Hi,

Please have a look at this sentence:

''Charan has witnessed multiple economic contractions marked by economic uncertainty. He has observed some managements that have navigated these challenging periods superbly and others who have failed miserably

The task is not for the faint of heart''

What does the last bold sentence mean? Does it mean that task is not for those who are not brave, decisive, or the like?

Many thanks,

Nessie.
