The table illustrates the worldwide share of the mobile phone market for the producer in two separate years 2005 and 2006. Overall, the percentage of the market share of Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson saw an upward trend while that of most companies experiences a downward trend between 2005 and 2006.
The rate of Nokia's market share increased from 32.5% to 35% was the leader in the global mobile phone market from 2005 to 2006. Similarly, the proportion of Motorola's market share experiences a significant growth from 17.7% to 21.1% in this period. Likewise, the percentage of Sony Ericsson's market share increased slightly from 6.3% to 7.4%.
In contrast, the percentage of Samsung's market share decreased by almost 1% to 11.8% in 2006. Similarly, that of LG’s market share dropped from 6.7% in 2005 to 6.3% in 2006. The rate of BenQ Mobile Market share dropped to just 2.4% in 2006. Finally, there was a fall in the market share of other producers by 3% to 16.2% in 2006.
In conclusion, there were changing patterns in the popularity of the proportion of the global market share from being the most prevailing to the least and vice versa.
