The table illustrates how many percent of all expenditure used on 3 different categories, namely, Food/Drinks/Tobacco, Clothing/Footwear, and Leisure/Education in 5 different countries in 2002.
Generally, it is obvious that all 5 nations’s figure on Food/Drinks/Tobacco were higher than other categories listed in the table while spending on Leisure/Education were the lowest.
Firstly, as can be seen for Food/Drinks/Tobacco, in Turkey and Ireland, their figure were near 30% while other countries’ rate were all lower than 20%.
Secondly, in terms of Clothing/Footwear, the rate of Italy (9%) was higher than other nations listed in the table while Sweden’s figure was still the lowest with only 5.40% expenditure on this item. In addition, the figure of Turkey, Spain, and Ireland accounted for 6.63%, 6.51%, and 6.43% respectively.
The last consumer spending was Leisure/Education 
in which the Turkey’s percentage was still highest compared with other nations’ rate, at 4.35% meanwhile in Spain, they just spent 1.98% expenditure on this type of item. Moreover, the figure for Sweden, Ireland, and Italy were 3.22%, 3.20%, and 2.21% respectively.
