The following table shows the information on the average number of hours and minutes that British men and women spend doing various daily activities.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that people in the UK spend the most time sleeping for about 8 hours per day while allocating the least time on doing sports.
Among all of these activities, leisure activities take up the second largest proportion of their time. Men spend 5 hours and 25 minutes on leisure time, such as watching television and listening to music or doing sport, while women have 4 hours and 53 minutes of spare time.
On average, British men spend 79 minutes more than women working or studying every day, opposite to doing the housework while women spend over twice as much time looking after children. The British also spend the same time on other activities like resting, personal care, or eating and drinking.
