Hi all

Can anybody explain what is the function of " - " eg. on-line, job-hunting and the approriate time to use it??

Would "job-hunting" be grammatically correct then?
and what about the word ground handling, if it is compound noun, would it need to be written as ground-handling instead?

Would this mean that "job-hunting" is correct grammar instead of "job hunting"?

Secondly, what about ground handling? is there a "-", i am still not very clear of the usage. Does it applies to all compound nouns?
