The superlative to refer to people
Hi. Is it correct to write the superlative "the slowest" to refer to the slowest people, as in the following example sentence? Thank you for your help in advance.
eg,
I think we are the fastest people in the area and they are the slowest.
eg,
I think we are the fastest people in the area and they are the slowest.
