The subject of action, "for something/ someone"

The utter daring of the icebox raid beyond belief for two dogs and a pet monkey.

I'd like to know why the subject of "raid" is "for two dogs and a pet monkey", not "for deed of two dogs and a pet monkey."

Thank you in advance for your help.
