The subject and predicate is this sentence?

Hello English Forums Community,
I am confused about the following sentence's subject and predicate. The sentence is:

Tomorrow is my brother's birthday.
One of my colleagues said that the subject here is "Tomorrow", while the rest of the sentence is the predicate.
I think that the subject is "my brother's birthday", and "Tomorrow is" is the predicate.
Which is correct? I would greatly appreciate help in this regard.
Thanks in advance,
KK

Hello, Kushagra Kalash—and welcome to English Forums.

'Tomorrow' can be a noun or an adverb:

adverb ?on the day after today
noun ?the day after today

I think that you can parse the sentence either way. And then, what about "My brother's birthday is tomorrow"?

Not to be rude, but could you be a tiny bit more clear. I don't understand what you mean by interpreting the sentence both ways. Also, your answer doesn't exactly specify the correct subject and predicate. I would be grateful if you could answer my question in the following way:

1. What you think the Subject/Predicate for the given sentence is.
2. Why.

Thanks.

Kushagra Kalash1. What you think the Subject/Predicate for the given sentence is.
It could be either 'tomorrow' (S) and birthday (Complement) or birthday (S) and 'tomorrow' (C)
Kushagra Kalash2. Why.
Because 'tomorrow' can be either a noun or an adverb.
