Grammar

The structure 'see something + a past participle'

1. We could hear the airplane but could not see it concealed above the clouds.
2. We could hear the airplane but could not see that it was concealed above the clouds.
3. We could hear the airplane but could not see it because we was concealed above the clouds.

I have rephrased #1 into both #2 and #3, but both don't make sense.
So, I'd like to know how I should interpret #1.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Neither does the original sentence (#1).

They are all correct as written.
