The Structure Of "Go From A To B"

  • I'M HAVING MOOD WHIPLASH AND IT'S SO GOOD!!!! I went from so happy for Kazusa that she was going to tell Izumi how she really felt, to so pissed at Niina for hurting her best friend, to understanding where it came from but still being upset at her, to so thankful for Momoko being there for someone that really mattered to her, to being mad at Kazusa for not acknowledging how hurtful what Niina did really was, to being so proud of what Hongo accomplished with her writing, to being so relieved and happy that Sonezaki didn't ruin her relationship with Amagi and gained the confidence to cast off her self imposed shackles, to being so proud of Kazusa for still choosing to follow through on her feelings despite what may happen, to finally being so joyful when Izumi flipped the legend on its head and confessed to Kazusa instead.

As you see, there is lots of "to". I can interpret all the sentences. But I'm not sure of if the two underlined "to" is grammatical. Judging from the remainder seeming to be correct, Did the writer omit "being" (from) after the two underlined "to" intentionally? ("to being so pissed" and "to being so thankful")

  • The second one is almost the whole text.
  • 'being' would be better, but when people write in this breathless manner, they usually don't care about grammar or even think about grammar.
