Hi,

Can I replace "worth" with "valued" in the following sentence:

"The stolen jewels were worth a lot of money."

Not really. You'd say "valued at $X." You could, however, say they were very valuable, without giving a specific dollar value. (Or whatever currency you use.)

No, but you can replace worth a lot of money with very valuable.

You could say, however:
Those jewels are very valued/appreciated for their beauty.
