The Spectacle

Please correct the following sentences, Thanks.

My family, too, was sitting on a meadow, but we changed the place as it wasn’t suitable for watching the about-to-start fireworks on the sky- the American’s way of celebrating their independence day. When the spectacle started unfolding, we found that we’d missed our car keys in the place where we were sitting moments back. We rushed to the spot and started googling the meadow for the keys. We became a little morose thinking that we might miss watching the fireworks as we were vigorously searching the damned keys.

Without disagreeing with anything Clive wrote, I'd like to add that there's no reason to write "the damned keys" and that some people will find it mildly offensive. If you felt the need to be emphatic, you could say "those darn keys" or "the stupid keys" but I'd recommend you not use "damned."
