The sound that carries away

With these words I want to say that the sound is very beautiful and when people listen to it they enjoy it so much that they even forget where they are and experience sound immersion. Is this a correct way to describe it or what are the alternatives to "The sound that carries away"?

You can add "by the music" but it's not necessary. [I / The audience / The child] was transported (by the music).
