The sky is the limit. Hell is other people.

Hello,I have naive idea of definining verb to be.?The "is" in the following sentences mean that the limit is the same of the sky / other people are the same as Hell / you are the same as me.?And the subjects act a living party in which the limit / other people / you formed or developed?( 1 ) The sky is the limit?( 2 ) Hell is other people?( 3 ) If I were you?I need your confirmation?Thank you for your help.
