In the sims or any other video board game, you make your own city,

Is 'square' the correct word when saying: You should move the house over a few squares. Build it on the side not in the middle of the field.

Is square the correct word?

How would I have to say :

I built the house right in the middle to the square. It's not one square more to the left nor one square more to the right. It's exactly in the middle of the field.

Does "to the X" "to the inch" "to the centimeter" mean to a given degree of accuracy.
I can't seem to find the answer to this in the dictionary or online.
