The sentence is correct?

I need to tell someone to send me a file in e-mail. This sentence is correct? :

" Can you send me the PSD or JPG file ? "

Please help me a bit, english is a foreign language for me. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

This is not better? :

" Can you send me the PSD or the JPG file ? "

that is correct also. Using "the" distinguishes between the two different files. Not using "the" makes it sound like it could be the same file in different formats. But both sentences are correct, and essentially mean the same thing.
