"the scene where" or "the scene when"?

Can anyone tell me whether to use "where" or "when" in the case?

Though it is 10 years since we last met, I still remember the scene ___ we got seperated on a rainy day.

I wouldn't use "scene" in this context. Try this: Though it is 10 years since we last met, I still remember the time when we got separated [ spelling] on a rainy day. or (better to my ear) Though it is 10 years since we last met, I still remember when we got separated on a rainy day.
