This book is sold subject to the condition that it shall not, by way of trade or otherwise, be lent, re-sold, hired out, or otherwise circulated without the publisher's prior consent in any form of binding or cover other than that in which it is published and without a similar condition including this condition being imposed on the subsequent purchaser.

The above sentence is very confusing. It probably means that one must not ci5rculate this book in any other binding or cover and one must impose this same condition on any acquirer. Can I rewrite it this way?

The condition refers to the whole clause from that onward, and your paraphrase is fine. Similar suggests that there is a bit of leeway in how the condition is phrased for the subsequent purchaser-- it could even be a stricter condition.
