the same meaning?

1. The Gregorian Calendar will not be fast by a whole day for at least 3, 000 years.
2. The Gregorian Calendar will not be fast by 24 hours in about 3, 000 years.
I'd like to know whether the two sentences are the same meaning. Thanks in advance.
