The same do I/I do the same

Hi.

He really hopes you get well soon. The same do I.

Can I say this? Or should it be "I do the same"? Or is there another option more correct?

This wording is not correct. I do the same would work better, although betters options might include: He really hopes you get well, and so do I. He really hopes you get well, and I do too.
