'The same ... as' vs 'The same ... that'

Dear Community,
Could you please explain the grammar behind the use of 'the same ... as' vs 'the same ... that'. Can they be used interchangeably with the same or very little difference in meaning? I will provide a few sentences to illustrate I mean:

- I don't want to come up against the same problems in the future as/that I'm dealing with at present. (or would it be better to say 'the same problems as the ones that I'm dealing with at present?)
- Today, I'm working the same hours as/that I did last week.
- We will be going the same way as/that we did when we were on our way to the airport.

Thank you for your consideration.
