The same?!

Hi.
May I use 'the same' in the following way to cite a reference mention previously?

[the same source, pp. 192-193].

Thanks in advance

The traditional way to say this is Ibid , short for the Latin word ibidem , meaning the same place . Some guides now recommend using a shortened version of the source name on subsequent citations instead.
