The same?

Hello

I'd like to check how to use "lead." Would you take a look at #1?

#1 Business took my father to New York last week.

Can I interchange "took" and "led" like #2? Or should the subject of "lead" a road like #3?

#2 Business led my father to New York last week.
#3 This street leads you to the station.

Thank you.

I see no reason why you cannot use 'lead' with a metaphorical subject, any less than you can use one with 'took'.
