'Jodan' is an unusual name. Are you sure it is not 'Jordan'?

In English, we don't use job titles when we salute people.

Thanks, Clive.

I am sorry that I made a spelling mistake. His private name is Jordan... When I asked question in the class, I always call him "teacher". Because I think I am not acquainted with him. If I just call him Jordan maybe it is impolite. Do I made a mistake?

Hi,

I would say

Dear Mr. Jankson,

or

Dear Teacher if you are more comfortable with this.

I'm sure he will be happy with whichever you choose.
