"The rules of grammar"

"Students don't necessarily want to learn the rules of the grammar of that language."

Is this correct? I know we can say "rules of grammar", but since we have "of that language", I want to know if "the" before "grammar" would work? If not, please tell me what would sound natural. Thank you.
