The role of cloze exercises
Hello,
I would like to hear your opinion on cloze exercises. What do you think they practise? I suppose they are mainly used for grammar tests or tests that test general language skills nowadays, but do you think one could practise reading skills by doing them? I have heard they were used as reading comprehension tests in the past.
