The road curves round to the right before you get to the post office.

Hello.

What does the sentence below mean? Is it correct?

The road curves round to the right before you get to the post office.

Especially I am confused with the combination 'round' + 'to the right'. Does it mean that the path looks like a part of a circle (arc) that goes to the right?
