The right to access a university

Some people think that everyone has the right to have access to university education and that the government should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is true that education has played a crucial role in the development of nations around the world. While a few citizens believe that the opportunity to study at a university without paying a fee should belong to individuals and the government should be responsible for this, I completely agree with them.

On the one hand, some people will argue that further education without tuition can have some shortcomings. They think that students will be more responsible for studying if they have to struggle to pay significant amounts of money to enroll in a university. There is no denying that private educational systems in America, such as Harvest, can train talented citizens regardless of high fees. As their students are forced to manage to complete their curriculum and pay their debt, they are more flexible and ambitious, making them more competent compared with other peers who do not need to worry about financial problems.

However, I totally support the idea that students are entitled to continue learning in higher education that is fully funded by the authority. One of the reasons is that students who face financial burdens will be under more pressure when it comes to a remarkable tuition fee. Those students have no choice but to take on some part-time jobs to address the hardships, resulting in a lack of time and health to study well. Furthermore, free education can generate an equal chance for all students coming from all social classes to access a university. Due to grants from their government, the young only need to focus on studying and researching, which also contributes to an increase in qualified labor forces. The public educational system in Poland, for example, is highly regarded for its quality and humanity, although it is totally free. It means that this system will create more benefits not only for students but also for national achievement in education.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that access to university should be given to all students, and the government should remove all kinds of fees owing to its advantages.
